(a cutesy term for photographers, that seems to be found everywhere) who rely solely on their phone for shots, then you are not alone. There has been a wave of complaints and rants, ranging from how "anyone with a phone and filters thinks they are a photographer and ruins paid shoots", as this wedding photographer complained, to trying to make a living, with years of experience and schooling, up against grainy cell shots that sell like hotcakes because they are cheap.
Not only that, but it seems like there are more of them lately than ever. This might be in part to the plethora of coupon and money-maker blogs that spewed such nonsense as "if you have a camera, you can make fast cash"; it could be in part because not everyone knows what really goes into a truly professional session. Whatever the cause, there are now eight times more smartphone "photogs" than ever, it is definitely not your imagination! The site Amateur Photographer has reported that there are now eight times the amount of smartphone camera "photogs" than in previous years.
